Further education and schools
There are numerous paths open to individuals that have just completed their studies: work, education, travel, training, this appears endless!
Europass is able to help such individuals which ever route they take. The five Europass documents have been designed to enable individual to promote themselves as effectively as possible.
The central document is the Europass CV which provides a CV template that helps an individual set out their educational and professional experience. The other four documents support the CV and add detail to the information with the CV.
The Language Passport enables the user to record their proficiency in a particular language. Having a European language is an obvious advantage when considering Europe as an option after school or further education but, as English is the business language of the world not having one should not be seen as a barrier.
The Europass Mobility documents enable organisations to record the skills and competencies an individual has obtained while doing a managed, or organised, activity such as a work placement in a company, an academic term as part of an exchange programme or a voluntary placement.
If the school or college participates in a Comenius or Leonardo da Vinci Programme, the students will automatically be eligible for Europass Mobility.

The final two documents, the Europass Certificate Supplement and the Diploma Supplement, are documents provided at the end of education courses. These documents are designed to clearly state the skills and competencies the individual has gained as a result of the qualification they have completed. These two documents really help employers understand what an individual will bring to their organisation.
Working or studying in Europe is an exciting prospect and can provide the opportunity for students to access further education, expand their social skills and earn money - all whilst experiencing a new and exciting way of life. Europass helps break down the barriers that can enable people to achieve this.
The UK National Europass Centre (UK NEC) has been established to help promote Europass to individuals and organisations. If you need any further help in understanding or implementing Europass we are here to help so please feel free to contact us.
